JOhn’s PUSH FOR PRAMS

MY 80th Birthday WisH… with a Push for Sebby’s Corner

Yes, for those of you who used to smile when you saw my name… thank you.

And for those who groaned, relax… no jokes, no admonishment, and no “JJ Senior” comments!

This is possibly the most wonderful birthday present list I have ever written and, as it is my 80th, I hope your smiles might turn into a desire to support an appeal for a charity I am proud to champion.

As some of you may know, JJFS has supported Sebby’s Corner, and I have seen the results that greater awareness and financial support can bring to a child’s life. I have also witnessed the impact that Sebby’s Corner has had in “being there” for as many families as possible.

This year marks 5 years of Sebby's Corner. Five years of showing up for families in crisis, of making sure children have warm clothes, clean nappies, school uniforms, and a birthday to look forward to.

To celebrate my 80th birthday, from Sunday 14th June, I shall be acting as a Champion for Sebby’s Corner’s 36-hour fundraiser. By the time I turn 80 on the 16th June, I’m hoping to have done my part by sharing the campaign with family, and friends that I have accumulated over my many decades! For my part, I’d like to raise enough to provide 40 prams to mark the 40 years (nearly 41!) since I started JJFS.

The link below will take you to a page on the JJFS website where I will share my “Champion” link once it’s live – which will be around the 12th to 14th of June. I’ll also send an email with the link on the day as I’ve been told that’s what I have to do to deserve Champion status!

Should you feel able to help, it will be as easy as possible to do so. “Helping” could be making a donation, or sharing with wider circles – or both! I know we are all approached by many charities for donations during the year. Not everyone wears a waistcoat when fundraising though!
