CHARITy

Over the years we’ve supported many charities and, as a team, choose to support those causes that are close to our hearts; whether it is a cause that we have been directly affected by, or a charity that is close to people we know. We support Sebby’s Corner, Magic Breakfast, Linkey/Milly Days, Ealing Soup Kitchen and Street Child United. You can find out more by reading below.

SEBBY’S CORNER

Sebby’s Corner believes no child should go without basic essentials such as clothing, nappies, formula, toiletries and baby equipment. They are based in Cowley Hill in Borehamwood, the most deprived area of Hertfordshire, and support families living in poverty, families in temporary accommodation, women and their children who have fled domestic abuse, refugees, asylum seekers and victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Magic Breakfast

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity aiming to end hunger as a barrier to education in UK schools. They do this by providing healthy breakfasts to vulnerable children. JJFS supports Magic Breakfast through Ideas Exchange, a monthly forum of which Jimmie is a member, where financial advisors get together and share best practices.

Linkey / Milly Days

This organisation is a partnership between Social enterprise  Linkey, initially set up to distribute supplies to the homeless across London, and  Milly Giveaway, a charity set up to provide sponsored day trips to those living with difficulties. The partnership has joined forces to support the NHS workers on the frontline, battling the Coronavirus.

Ealing Soup Kitchen

Ealing Soup Kitchen is a charity who seek to help anyone who needs hot, nutritious food and a helping hand. They have been running a weekend Soup Kitchen since 1973 at St John’s Church in Ealing for the homeless and vulnerable.  Ealing Soup Kitchen also runs weekday drop-ins and provide clothes, food, a hairdresser, showers, practical help, games, as well as an onsite doctor.

In March 2020, we were given the humbling opportunity to spend a day volunteering at Ealing Soup Kitchen, supplying food and cooking a hot meal for around 70 people.

Street Child United

Street Child United put on international sporting events where street children from around the world take part. This helps change people’s negative perceptions of street children, who, instead of receiving support, are often blamed for their situation and stigmatised. The goal of Street Child United is to inspire a brighter, safer future for street-connected children everywhere.
